Good Morning America teams with Brian Delia Photography and Andrea Bocelli for a Surprise Wedding Performance!

    Brian Delia Photography was contacted by Good Morning America to collaborate on a HUGE surprise for one lucky couple!

            After just two short weeks of planning with the crew at Good Morning America, a solid plan was set for the couple (Michelle & Ales). Initially, Brian was contacted by Good Morning America and asked about his photography company, their clients, and a wedding occurring on October 31st. GMA explained that a new segment on their show is to surprise an unaware couple with a celebrity performance at their wedding. Surprising clients with a once and a lifetime performance wasn’t something Brian and his team didn’t want to miss out on.

Brian’s contact at Good Morning America, requested they to reach out to the bride’s mother to see what her thoughts on having Andrea Bocelli do a surprise performance at her daughter's wedding. This was a difficult challenge due to the fact that Brian Delia had to contact the bride in order to get her Mother's phone number, all without giving any details of what was being planned. Brian, knowing that he couldn’t share information with the bride herself, asked for at least one responsible person on the call list in case of an emergency on the wedding day. This took place one day after the couple’s finals meeting with Brian and was probably very odd to the bride, Michelle. A few days later, GMA contacted Brian back and stated they was going forward and making arrangements with the Bocelli team. 3 days prior to the wedding, everything was a GO and things were set for a once and a lifetime surprise performance!

    On the morning of the wedding, the Good Morning America crew, Father Kevin of Immaculate Conception Church in Mahwah, NJ, and the team at Brian Delia Photography all met at the church to finalize details. They began capturing the ceremony as normal with the knowledge that performance was going to happen towards the end. Thankfully the professional crew of both GMA & Brian Delia Photography were able to devise a solid plan of camera angles so that all of the guests, bridal party, and couple were able to see the performance by Andrea Bocelli.

   Father Kevin invited the guest to rise for the final prayer which was followed with an announcement of a special performance, by Andrea Bocelli. The Bride's face showed total surprise and the moment was priceless. Brian later asked guests what they thought of the performace and the response was... "I was sitting in the church and wondering what kind of wedding photography company brings this many staff members?” “I was also thinking, why did an additional 6 camera guys come out of left field? “Wait, did the priest just say there is a surprise performance by Andrea Bocelli about to happen!””i personally listen to his music, but couldn't believe it when he walked out onto the alter and began singing... I was in shock and don't even think I heard one lyric during his performance, Ha Ha!"
